Too often a “gluten-free” establishment is only suitable for people who are trying to cut back on their gluten consumption. Those of us who need to avoid cross-contamination learn the safe places around us, but have to start over each time we travel somewhere new.
What if we could crowd-source a list of safe gluten-free restaurants?
That’s my goal. I’m using a Facebook page as an anchor, and Facebook groups to contain information about the celiac-safe restaurants in various cities.
Of course, only you can decide if an establishment is safe for you. Ask questions, and if you’re not satisfied, eat somewhere else. We have to be proactive in maintaining our health.
Celiac Safe Eats was created to help find safe places to eat while traveling. I hope you will find it useful and contribute your favorite celiac safe eats.
